Choose a pack by license
Pick the license outcome before you fall in love with a drawing. This catalog does not relicense artwork. Each pack keeps its upstream SPDX terms. The Licenses page groups sets and shows a machine-readable matrix; /r/licenses.json is the same data for CI and agents.
This page is practical guidance, not legal advice. Open the upstream license linked from each collection before production use.
MIT-family: notice only
MIT, ISC, and Apache-2.0 are the usual product-UI path here. Keep the copyright notice with your other open-source licenses. You do not owe a credit line on the marketing page for ordinary interface glyphs. Lucide (ISC), Tabler, Heroicons, Phosphor, Bootstrap Icons, Carbon (Apache-2.0), Remix Icon, and Material Design Icons sit in this group.
Start with Lucide when you want a short outline set, or Tabler when a dashboard needs a wider vocabulary. Agents that filter on attributionRequired: false and licenseSpdx in MIT, ISC, Apache-2.0, or CC0-1.0 are described under Docs → Agents.
CC BY: credit on the page
CC BY 4.0 (Solar, Twemoji) allows commercial use when you show attribution. If a legal review cannot accept a credit line in the product or docs, do not ship those packs. The Licenses page includes a one-line template you can copy for each CC BY set.
Template shape: {Pack} icons by {Author}. {License}. Put it where other open-source credits live, and keep the upstream link.
CC0 files are not a trademark license
SVG Logos and Simple Icons are CC0 for the file in this catalog. That does not clear trademark use. A quiet footer mark is a different risk from artwork that implies the company built or endorses your product. Brand, flag, and emoji packs can still be trademarkRisk high even when the SPDX id looks open.
Instead of opaque clipart catalogs
If you are leaving a marketplace where “free for commercial use” is hard to verify, use curated open-source Iconify packs here: stable URLs, SPDX on every set, and registry JSON for CI. You still follow each upstream license. You do not get a new license from Full SVG Icons.
Next steps: skim the Licenses matrix, open one UI collection such as Lucide, then wire fetch rules from Agents or Registry API.
